My surefire way to get everything off of a room's floor so I can vacuum said floor for a good half an hour: move all the stuff into the living room, while mum's not looking. It's also a good way to sort stuff, the living room is much bigger then my room. I've been cleaning for the past two evenings. Currently I'm in the process of organizing stuff into three catagories: keep, store, and get rid of (which is trash or garage sale stuff).

My job is going well. I'll be in training for the next 10 or 12 weeks. On Wednesday evenings I'll be teaching PSR 1st grade.

The main reason being: I was looking forward to teaching the 1st grade PSR class, but if I get this job I can't. The place won't work with me to let me have Wed evening off. My initial thought was "Why work for a place that isn't willing to work with their employees on scheduleing?" Everyone who works has to be avaible 8am to 8pm durning the week (8 hour shifts, 5 days a week). And the schedule can change every two weeks. *sigh* It's the only prospect I have right now. At least they do give 2 weeks notice on schedule changes. Well I'll have to let them know off the bat that I'm getting married in April and will need time off. Of course I could be worrying for nothing, they might not hire me.

So my week off didn't go quite as planned. Saturday, I got off work and went to Church with James and my parents. Mum leaned over before Mass started and told me that a friend of the family had passed away. It was a bit of a shock because she was the same age as dad. Her family was having a private ceremony and burial and a public memorial service on Thursday. So Mum and I went up to the cabin for the weekend as we planned. Sunday went well.

Monday didn't go well. Mum got a call from Dad to let her know that Grandpa (Dad's dad) wasn't doing well and he was leaving work to sit with him. Mum and I decided not to leave early to rush to see him. Half an hour later we got "the call". Grandpa died peacefully at home. Dad made it to his house a few minutes before and his brothers were on their way. Mum and I wouldn't have even made it out of the door before the call came.

We came home on Tuesday. Grandpa's wake was Wed. and his burial was on Thursday. It wasn't a terribly sad occasion, Grandpa was 94 and had been quite sick on and off for a while.

So now I'm working on my beading projects. I'm making a wire and gemstone chip bonsi tree for James. I'm watching Mandie's kids while she goes to a job interview this afternoon. Then I'm going to the mall with James, he's looking for a book and I need to see if the schedual is up for work next week.

We might be going to the Ren Faire this weekend, if not this weekend then the weekend of the 4th. It looks like fun. I want to go this weekend, but the weather's looking iffy. James, myself and some friends are going to see Star Wars this Sunday.

Hi, It's been a while. So here's the quick update. I'm getting married in April of 2006 to James. I'm still working (going crazy) at the bead place, but we've moved the store to a mall that's busier and 20 minutes away from home. I want to quit about once every other month, but then something nice, or happy happens at work and I'm better. Like this upcoming week, I don't have to go to work and I still get paid. Perks of being the full time manager. So Mum and I are going up to the farm for a couple of days and I have lots of beading planned. I'm also going to look again for a job relating more to my degree. *crosses fingers*

My church is being closed and we're being relocted to another church. Which means Sunday School is over for me. I'm going to look into St. Martin's program to see if they need a teacher. I might actully be teaching PSR classes on Wed for the older kids. I need to call.

Well that's all I can think of.
Sara

Today James went to Church with me (Yay! and a clappy happy dance.) I also signed my neice and nephew up for Sunday School and I found out that I will indeed have a class to teach in Oct. (Yay! Happy Dance.) I've played about four hours of Uno with James tonight. We let my nephew in on one hand and he beat us. I was quite amused that he figured the game out (mostly) and managed to win in one hand. He's a smart kid. When I'm tired I can't do simple addition. That's all.
Hi again,
I applied at Walgreens. I was offered a full time job working nights and weekends as a service clerk/cashier. I turned it down. I was really looking for the Pharmacy Tech job. I would have been making a 1.50 less then I am currently at Earth, Wind and Bead for doing pretty much the same thing.

I did get a couple of phone numbers to contact the home office for Walgreens, since they were the ones who do the actual hirering for the Pharmacy. The one opening that was avaible wasn't in the greatest of areas, so the lady gave me another name for the area manager that has a few more stores in my area. I'm still waiting for a call from her.

In the meantime, I got a call for a lab tech position at Washington University in St. Louis. Durning the summer I ran into a gentleman who the family works with for funeral arrangments, who knows someone who works at the University. He passed on my name and number. So the other day I got a phone call asking if I was still looking for a job. Since I was still looking my name and number got passed onto another doctor at the school. He called and I've got an interview meeting on Monday with him and his staff. It's a little wierd that after a year of looking for a job related to Biochemisty I'm finally getting offers. I'm also extremely nervous.

The Captain offered to drive me down to Wash U. He knows how much I hate to drive and how nervous I'm going to be on Monday. Then were going to take my neice and nephew to the zoo with Mum.

So I planned on being online more. Where has all my free time gone? I've got time on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, but I never seem to get online anymore.

*shrug* Life continues. V-day was ok. Not as happy as I was expecting, but it turned out decent. The Captain and I were both sick and tired and cranky. And we both had to work, me a full 12 hour day, him 8 hours.

I've got to clean my bathroom and my room. I've also got to make a necklace for a costomer. I told her I'd have it done by Tuesday.

A neighbor drove me to work yesterday and Captain drove me home. Then he helped me shovel part of the drive and chip ice off my car so I could drive myself to work today. Work wasn't bad. The boss is going out of town for a week so the shop staff can finally see what we can do when he's not breathing down our necks. The boss still hasn't got a clue that Captain and I are dating. It's rather amusing. I'm tired and slightly unwell (sinus stuff and general acheyness).

At any rate I'll be up to the 'Burg this weekend. I'll probally wander by campus on Sunday to visit. We're staying til Monday so I could stay for DDR Sunday evening.

...even though it's Sunday and I should be going to Church and Sunday School. Actually I should be there now. But there's about an eighth of an inch of ice on the roads with more appearing every minute. Yay, ice storm, and I type that in the most sarcastic way possible. I got up and looked out the window and thought, "Oh, the roads are just wet, looks like we just got rain instead of the ice that was predicted." I went to see what Dad had said when he called after making it into work. The roads weren't very bad at that point but they were going to get wrose. *shrug* I still got dressed, then stepped outside to find the truth for myself. Oh, yeah, it's ice. I went back in, told mum I wasn't going anywere. (She was relieved.) Then I flipped tv channels til 9am. I called the parents of the Sunday School kids, to tell them class was cancelled. From the sounds of things I would have been the only one there had I shown up. And now I'm using my sudden appearance of free time to catch up on life.

Well, I've finally gotten into the tedious part of inventory on the beads. Putting all the zero's into the Point of Sale system for the stuff we don't have, while at the same time checking the work I did on the stuff we do have. I could have gotten it all done during my 10 hour work day yesterday, but the store was too busy and I kept getting pulled away from the comp to help people. The first mate quit the other day so our boss had to rearrange hours, I get off earlier on Tues, Wed, and Thurs, but work later on Friday and Sat, 9 and 10 hours respectively. And I get to open all by myself durning the week.

Captain is considering giving his two weeks notice. He's looking for a different (and better) job. At least he's going to give our boss two weeks to train a new manager, things would be very bad if he just up and left. But Captain wouldn't do that to us.

At anyrate, Jaffa and him are coming for dinner after they get off work. Dad's BBQing enough food to feed an army. Then the three of us are going to play pool somewhere. Captain's driving, because he knows I don't like to drive.

It's snowing. Not hard, and nothing seems to really be accumulateing. Dad's calling it flurries, but I think it's a little to heavy to be flurries. And the weather man said it wasn't suppose to snow all week.

On the hair front: I like it. It's short, but I can do so much more with it then braids, ponytails and clips. And it doesn't get quite as frizzy as it did when it was long, it holds it's curls better too. And it makes me look older. Everyone who notices that I got my hair cut tells me it's nice. I really shouldn't be getting this excited about my hair, but I've been fighting with it for years and it's finally working with me instead of against me.

Work was rather dull. One person went home ill. We worked on inventory. I spent my entire lunch break waiting for soup that I never got. I got my money back and a nice complamentory salad instead, that I didn't get to eat til I got home. I then got to sit at the calculator for about an hour in a half, plugging in the prices of everything we sold in December. (Yay! monthly reports.) I'm not sure what's wrose inventory or monthly reprots. More inventory tomorrow. We're up to one of the catagories that's going to take all day and everyone who knows how to do inventory will be involved. And it's Sat, which means we'll be busy so I might not be able to get much done before the afternoon swing shift comes in. The captain is coming in on that shift so some of the pressure will be off my back.

I got home and was just going to eat my salad for dinner, but mum had gotten chicken so I had that along with the salad. I was going to watch Stargate (cause I think it's a marathon tonight.) but then the phone rang. So instead of watching tv, I chatted with the Captain for a bit over an hour. About work, video games, how different our personalities are, etc...

Then I remade a necklace that my boss asked me to make for his wife. She liked it, but it was a bit heavy, so I had to take out some of the largers beads and replace them with smaller ones. And then I got online. I may play video games before heading to bed. I've started playing Spyro again, "And we're loading, and we're loading". Although during my talk with the Captain, I found a Helicopter Sim game that I remember being kindof fun, so I may install that on my comp and rescue people from lakes and burning buildings.
